pizza pasta

>One of the more modestly sized restaurants in town it may be, but The Artisan is perfectly formed, atmospheric, and its menu smartly composed.
White tablecloths, slick service, art deco-style furnishing, in keeping with the hotel’s overall vibe – show thought and consistency throughout.
Nothing here tries too hard and that breeds confidence (and, in us, an appetite).
You’ll struggle to find better restaurant pizza than those served here. Specifically, The Artisan’s salame piccante.
A heroically crisp, bubbly, blistered crust surrounds a perfectly orchestrated symphony of spicy beef salami, pecorino cheese and parsley. Good? Please. We’d eat this all day long.
House-made pastas are delicate, but robust in bounce and bite. Skip it, and you’ll be missing out. So don’t. Order the ossobuco ravioli, which come coated in a rich saffron sauce.
Elsewhere, from meat to fish to burrata, you’re treated to simplicity in presentation and a focus on produce, allowing the quality of the ingredients to really speak for themselves.
Never has a slip of a space served such fantastic food, or pulled off effortless class like this. It works for date night, a business dinner or simply for pizzas and a pint.
We’ve never left disappointed. We’ve always left full. We’re certain you will too.
